Are you a perfectionist?

Perfectionism is something that rears its ugly head quite often when I'm talking to people.

It causes all kinds of problems and can really chip away at your self-esteem over time.

I know a thing or two about perfectionism! I have struggled with it myself, especially in grad school. So I am well aware of the negative effects it can have on anyone, especially when the pressure is on.

I was very tempted to re-do this video because as you will see, it's not perfect. Not even close. But I am working on connecting to my readers vs. striving to make perfect videos.

I recorded this video when I was on holidays in Palm Springs, California, so it's a little more casual than usual.

But if we're talking about moving away from perfection, then I'm going to show you my imperfect video.

Like the song says, let's be "perfectly imperfect." Besides, perfect is boring.
